What is it?

Windscribe allows you to connect on a wide range of common ports and protocols. Auto Mode will cycle through these protocols automatically until it finds one that works, or you can manually choose a protocol from the list below.

We support the following protocols:

• IKEv2 - Default Protocol. Fast, but easily detectable
• WireGuard - Very fast, try this if you have speed issues
• OpenVPN UDP - Moderately fast, but easy to block
• OpenVPN TCP - Moderately fast, but harder to block
• Stealth - Slow, but harder to block
• Websocket Stealth - Slow, but harder to block

You can also choose from the following ports if you're on a restrictive network, some ports many work better than others:

• 65142

Why should I care?

Since many networks have heavy restrictions on which ports you can use, Windscribe does not restrict you to a single protocol or port, in order to give you the best chance of connecting. We allow you to connect via the most common ports many of which cannot be blocked since using the Internet would become impossible.
